this is my first time properly listening to chase atlantic, and i'm only going to stick to tracks you've included on your playlist.

- friends ok sorry for being surprised and assuming this would be bad music, but this song is actually soooooo good??? the beginning is a little bit like ok you're trying to be the neighbourhood but with more whiny emoboy voice, but when the chorus hits i'm back in. second verse SLAYS THE EARTH, i love the gradually unmuffling vocals and then super emotive "and what THE HELL ARE WE?! tell me we weren't just friends" and somewhat atmospheric instrumental has this kind of nostalgic melancholy quality that i'm really into. A+ opener

- slow down extremely epic and killer follow up with the horns sample right at the top leading into this driving bassline, love a band that comes in with an orchestral ass intro just to start talking about cocaine. laughed at the *sniff* [australian accent] Naur Thenks. idk what tf they saying at this part or any part really but i looooooove the super dense sound of the chorus, it's giving me chills fr

- moonlight jumpscared by the scream at the beginning. not gonna lie this one is feeling a bit mid to me, but i'm a hard sell on midtempo ballads. where's this saxophone you keep promising me?

- right here not a fan of this one either. christian sounds hot though, i understand everything now. saxophone's alright but i was looking forward to more.

- into it ELLEN YOU'RE LOSING ME WITH THESE SLOW INTROS. okay wait i've definitely heard this one before, i don't remember if it was you linking this on the tl or oomf making me listen to this in her car. anyway boring ass white boy weeknd SORRYYYYYYY

- church "call me shallow but i'm only getting deeper" made me lol i can't take these guys seriously. i like the drama coming back, good noisy chorus, nice crunchy synths in the verses, but the church motifs are a turn off to me :^\ the melodic line of "and i'll keep leading you on if you keep leading me into your room" is neat tho... but i'm not feeling this bridge at all. feeling pretty mixed here

- triggered OKAY we are back in the slayer zone, i am totally going to do major apologia for the violence here because it's actually so sexy in a noncon top way 1-800-I-LOVE-TOXICITY. the instrumental here is not really all that special, but i think it does a good job of letting the vocals take center stage... first song i've actually been able to make out every word ngl, and it was worth it.

- cassie midtempo ballad again... bye. actually i'm back to say this is the worst chorus i've had to listen to so far, the sax is not saving this corny garbage

- why stop now upgrade from cassie but that's not saying much. i need bangers to live. i'm starting to think i have way too high standards for these sax solos, let me take a quick sidebar. (switching up the vibe severely to listen to girl from the year above which has a somewhat similar sonic palette but more of an aloof apathetic slayer girl x pathetic loser guy dynamix, it also has a really epic sax solo which is the main thing i'm trying to compare here.) okay... i'm expecting a little bit too much, sax parts get graded on a curve going forward.

- the walls ok this is good for the same reasons as church but better because they don't talk about church in it. not as good as triggered or slow down tho. the guitar solo instrumental break also slays

- swim wow you're not joking about the accents on this one LMAO good atmospheric chorus though, even though i wish they mixed it up a little bit more with the verses

- ozone chase atlantic have become french✨? ok this is the best of midtempo ones so far, i can't really explain why though because it's not really that different. maybe i just like the pathetic loser guy self-reflective persona more than white boy weeknd

- okay this sounds a lot poppier than all the other songs, it kinda sounds like it could be a bts song. no further comments.

- 23 i'm only giving this up to the first chorus to impress me, if anything else good happens later in the song idgaf. SKIP i have to go listen to what's my age again (nobody likes you when you're twenty-threeeee)

- numb to the feeling "i look like a fucking walking corpse, girl. say the words R.I.P. cause" GOOD LINE!! the chorus is not bad but i am... dare i say.... getting numb to the feeling

- tidal wave not too bad, but nothing special. if this was one of the first couple of songs on the playlist, i would have been totally unimpressed.

- what u call that okay this is definitely not the worst song i've ever heard, but like... i don't think it's that good either. probably wouldn't end up ranking in my bottom half. the stop and go gimmick is neat but i don't think it works for this song, and i generally am not into the rnb lean here. it's fine

- you too skip

- like a rockstar also not the worst song ever but i'm kind of bored by it anyway... can we get the saxophone back?

- devilish PLEASE I CAN'T TAKE THESE LYRICS. i actually like the instrumental and vocal effects on this song but i'm never going to listen to it again because it will make me cringe out of my body

- greengreengreen kind of nothing to say about this one... it's unobjectionable. i wouldn't be opposed to listening to this in oomf's car.

- lust luxurious intro, let's hope this pays off— nope, instantly lost me. okaaaaay i kind of do like a semi-ironic but actually unexpectedly earnest love song though, oh and the sax is back! well, it's no crush'd but very few songs are

- angels slow song but i appreciate the sax. oh hey, it picks up with the chorus, i like that. also "the only number on my phone i haven't changed yet, calling all my angels" is a good line

- phases nice intro, nice lush sound, would probably rank in my top half but nothing much else to say

- love is (not) easy okay this is like... objectively kind of a good song, but i don't like it as a matter or personal taste. but i will admit it is legitimately a good song.

- her your review made me LMAO but it's so true so many of these songs are basically the exact same song, kinda like if it ain't broke don't fix it i guess? did they lose the formula for triggered?

- heaven and back okay WIG 80s synthpop here we go. better overdose song than cassie too, they really have grown. AND NOW THATTTTTTTTT'S WHAT I CALL A SAX SOLO BABEYYYYYYYYY

- stuckinmybrain me listening to this: is this the grating mitchell in question? lmao no way it gets worse from here. also i hate you for putting this song on right after heaven and back, when i tell you all the goodwill they'd built up plummeted instantly

- too late better than stuckinmybrain, that's really all i got rn

- i never existed back to the nbhd vibes but i do enjoy it. my second fav from this album btw

- paranoid sure, if it ain't broke don't fix it

- pleasexanny you would think i'd enjoy this because i love a whiny vocal, but uhhh i don't

- out the roof the what? i somehow listened to this entire song without paying attention, so i missed the annoying mitchell voice in question lol. but the chugging metal style guitars when i did tune in were good, so it can't be their worst song.

- slide [zones back out again]

- beauty in death i was like no way you're making me listen to this whole album rn, but you said it gets good in the second half so i won't insta skip. okay, yeah this second chorus is hitting a bit.

- please stand by kinda exciting to hear a new guy after all that. "please stand by, i love it when my bitches get high. please stand by, i love it when my enemies die." this rules

- molly STOP I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THERE WAS A GIRL FEATURING ON THIS AT FIRST.......... mitchell forcefem moment. i'm not listening to the rest of this song tho

- call me back :^| the chorus is nice but not nice enough to suffer through the verses

- i think i'm lost again skip

- empty not the worst of their lowkey vibe songs, and these lyrics are actually on the better side. i'm going to need another sax solo to keep me going though.

- ohmami probably the first chase atlantic song i ever heard, i think this one might have actually been on you. i didn't like it when i first heard it and i still don't like it now, but ummm 🥴 mitchell moaning at the beginning? girl moment again ngl

- stranger things this is not a good song. i appreciate the return of the drama but it wasn't worth it.

- chxse the best parts of this song are the ones where they sound like they're about to launch into roses

- escort GET SOME NEW MATERIAL DAMN!!

- cold nights alright, this one is not bad either. that's all i have to say.

NO WAY TRIGGERED DIDN'T MAKE YOUR TOP 10.......... alright i'll be expecting at least 5 kisses within 14 business days
